What is the best motherboard for an Intel i9-14900K?

So I finally decided to build my own computer because my old Dell laptop basically caught fire last week while I was trying to edit some videos for my vlog. I went to Micro Center here in Chicago and the guy told me the i9-14900K is the fastest thing out there so I just bought it on the spot without really thinking it through. Now I am looking at motherboards and honestly I am so lost. I didnt realize there were so many options and they all look the same to me? Like some have lots of metal pieces and some have crazy lights and some are just plain black.

I was looking online and people keep talking about Z790 or something like that but then I see B760 and they both say they work with Intel but the price difference is like huge. My logic was that if the CPU is the brain then the motherboard is the body but I dont want to buy a body that cant handle the brain if that makes sense? Like is a $200 board gonna explode if I put this i9 in it? Someone on a video mentioned power phases and VRMs and I have literally no idea what that is. I just want something that wont break and has enough spots for my storage and stuff.

I have maybe $350 or $400 left in my budget for the motherboard because I definitely overspent on the processor and the graphics card. I want to start building this weekend because I have a big project due next Tuesday. Is there a specific best one for a beginner who isnt going to do any of that overclocking stuff? I just want to plug it in and have it work without the whole thing overheating or whatever. Do I need to worry about the BIOS thing too? I saw someone say you have to update it with a USB stick and that sounds terrifying to be honest. Is there a board that just works right out of the box with the 14th gen chips? I'm just scared of picking the wrong thing and wasting more money...
