Just bought the Core Ultra 5 245K today, which motherboard do you recommend for this processor?

Re: I think GIGABYTE Z890 AORUS Elite WIFI7 is a decent starting point, but you really gotta be careful with the technical specifics on these new LGA 1851 boards. The thermal hotspot on Arrow Lake actually shifted compared to the older chips. Even if a board says it supports older coolers, if the mounting pressure isn't perfectly centered on that new north-shifted hotspot, your 245K is gonna run way hotter than it needs to. Tbh, it's a bit of a trap for people reusing old gear. Also, watch out for the memory topology. These new chips are super picky about DDR5 speeds and the BIOS maturity just isnt there yet on some of the cheaper Z890 variants. Ngl, I've seen some boards struggle with basic XMP profiles out of the box. Make sure you check the QVL list like a hawk before buying your RAM kit. Dont just grab the fastest sticks you see and assume they'll work. Basically, avoid the absolute bottom-tier boards that skimp on the VRM cooling too, because even the i5 equivalent pulls enough transient power to make weak power stages sweat during heavy loads.

I think GIGABYTE Z890 AORUS Elite WIFI7 is a good choice.
