Hey everyone! I’m finally pulling the trigger on a Ryzen 7000 build, likely starting with a 7600X, but I’m getting a bit overwhelmed by all the B650 options out there. I’m looking for something budget-friendly that doesn’t sacrifice too much on quality. I definitely need at least two M.2 slots and decent VRMs in case I want to upgrade the CPU later. Built-in WiFi would be a huge plus, too! I’ve seen some cheaper boards with mixed reviews regarding long boot times and BIOS stability, so I’m a bit nervous about picking the wrong one. What’s the best value B650 board you’ve used that actually performs well without breaking the bank?

For your situation, I'm satisfied with MSI PRO B650M-A WIFI Motherboard. It's $149, has dual M.2 slots, and 12+2+1 VRMs. Booting is reallyyy fast now with BIOS updates... i think? Hope that helps!

Yo, jumping in here! Not to disagree with the guys above cuz those are decent boards, but I've had a different experience after testing dozens of AM5 builds lately... Respectfully, I’d consider another option if you want to avoid some of those 'budget' compromises. Honestly, I'm obsessed with the Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX right now!! It’s literally a full ATX board for roughly the same price as the mATX ones mentioned, and it's been a total game changer for my recent builds. Here’s how it stacks up based on the stuff I've seen:
* **Gigabyte B650 Eagle AX**: This is the winner for me. You get 3 M.2 slots (including a Gen5 slot for future drives!), better VRM heatsinks than the ASRock, and it just looks way cleaner in a mid-tower case.
* **MSI PRO B650M-A WIFI Motherboard**: It's okay, but I've dealt with some annoying coil whine on a few of those units. Plus, the MSI software can be kinda bloat-y imo lol.
* **ASRock B650M Pro RS WiFi**: Definitely the budget king if money is super tight, but it lacks that 'premium' feel for long-term upgrades. Seriously, the boot times on the Gigabyte have been fantastic lately—basically fixed since the last few BIOS updates. Highkey, if you’re planning to upgrade to a beefier CPU later, the extra thermal headroom on the Eagle AX is totally worth it. Love it! Anyway, hope that helps ur decision... gl! 👍

yo, i would suggest checking out the ASRock B650M Pro RS WiFi cuz it's actually been solid for me. it's lowkey the budget king with three m.2 slots and decent vrms, so ur good for upgrades later. i was worried about those long boot times too, but just make sure to update the bios right away... it literally fixed everything for me. gl!

Quick reply while I have a sec. Honestly, I get why people like the super cheap options, but if you're really worried about stability and those annoying boot times, I'd just go with ASUS. In my experience, any of their B650 boards are gonna be way more solid on the BIOS side of things. Just find one that fits your budget and has the wifi you need. They might be a few bucks more, but for a build that just works without constant tweaking, you really cant go wrong with them. Reliability is king when you just want to game and not spend all night in the bios settings...
