Which monitor is best for RTX 5090? I'm unsure about the choice.

For RTX 5090 I would also check the connectivity. Do you need multiple inputs?

For RTX 5090 definitely Samsung Odyssey G9 OLED. Very good performance for the price.

Have you thought about OLED vs IPS? For RTX 5090 both have advantages.

My tip: Samsung Odyssey G9 OLED is ideal for RTX 5090. The compatibility is very good The build quality feels premium and should last for years.

For RTX 5090 I would take ASUS ROG Swift PG32UCDM without hesitation. The on-screen display is user-friendly The HDR support provides excellent contrast and color depth.

Long-term experience: Using ASUS ROG Swift PG32UCDM for a few months and am thrilled. Have researched for a long time and this monitor was the best choice. The performance clearly exceeds my expectations. Very good price-performance ratio, can only recommend further.

Reading through the thread, it looks like most people are torn between the massive ultrawide G9 and that high-end Asus. Both are killer, but if youre dropping 5090 money, you might want to look at a couple others Ive trialled lately. Tbh, the MSI MPG 321URX QD-OLED is a beast. Ive been using it for a few weeks and the colors are just... wow. Its usually cheaper than the Asus but performs identically since they share the same panel. Its basically the sweet spot for 4K gaming right now. Then there is the Dell Alienware AW3225QF. Its got a 1700R curve which feels really natural for 32 inches. Dells burn-in warranty is also way more peace of mind than what Ive seen from other brands. Quick breakdown:

  • MSI: Best value for 4K QD-OLED, flat screen, same panel as the premium brands.
  • Alienware: Top-tier warranty, slight curve for immersion, very reliable. Basically, if you want flat and value, go MSI. If you want a slight curve and the best peace of mind, go Alienware. Either way, 4K at 240Hz is the only way to do a 5090 justice imo. Anything less is kinda wasting that GPU power.

Like someone mentioned, the technical specs on these newer panels are just amazing! I am totally thrilled by the progress we are seeing in display tech.

  • Consistent electrical grounding is absolutely paramount when you are dealing with a beastly GPU and a high-end monitor.
  • One has to be super methodical about evaluating cable bandwidth and signal integrity to avoid micro-stuttering issues. This whole discussion reminds me of a massive ordeal my friend went through last summer. He finally got his dream setup delivered and was so hyped to get it running! He ended up using an old display cable he found in a junk drawer tho. The screen kept flickering every time his fridge kicked on and he spent an entire week thinking his new GPU was a dud. It was a total nightmare trying to troubleshoot it over the phone while he was losing his mind! We basically checked every setting in the BIOS before realizing the cable was just ancient history... He was so stressed about it he almost returned the whole thing!
