Looking for the optimal monitor for under $300. Do you have experience or recommendations?

For under $300 I would definitely recommend HP Omen 27q. The connectivity options are comprehensive The panel technology ensures accurate colors and good viewing angles.

I have ASUS TUF Gaming VG27AQ3A for under $300 in use and am very satisfied. The color accuracy is outstanding The panel technology ensures accurate colors and good viewing angles.

For under $300 I would take MSI MAG 271QPX without hesitation. The viewing angles are excellent The connectivity includes all modern ports you need.
Long-term experience: Using MSI MAG 271QPX for half a year and am thrilled. Have researched for a long time and this monitor was the best choice. The performance clearly exceeds my expectations. Very good price-performance ratio, can only recommend further.
