One thing I keep seeing people rave about for a mix of work and play is the Dell Alienware AW3423DWF. Tbh, the ultrawide screen seems like it would be amazing for CAD layouts so you don't have to keep switching windows and stuff. If you're still undecided, I really recommend checking out the comparison tools on RTINGS or DisplaySpecifications. They have these super detailed charts that compare color accuracy and ghosting, which is probably big for your projects. Idk if that's exactly what you need, but looking at community reviews and those comparison tools really helped me understand the differences. It's basically a rabbit hole! Good luck with the build.
