Best Monitor for Programming?

I'm in the market for a new monitor to enhance my coding experience. I work long hours, often late into the night, and need something that won't strain my eyes. My office setup allows for either a single large monitor or dual-screen arrangement. What do you recommend as the best monitor for programming? I'm looking for optimal resolution, size, and eye-comfort features. Any suggestions for monitors that have served you well in your work? Budget isn't a major concern, but value for money is appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Just found this thread while browsing for some gear... honestly, for coding, you basically cant go wrong with any of the higher-end stuff from BenQ or LG. BenQ is pretty well-known for their eye-care tech like flicker-free backlighting and blue light filters which actually makes a huge difference when you're staring at lines of code at 2 AM. LG is also a decent option because they make the panels for half the other brands anyway. From a technical side, its mostly about the pixel density and contrast. You want crisp text so you aren't squinting, which is usually what causes that late-night fatigue. I'd definitely spend some time on RTINGS before you pull the trigger. They do really deep technical testing and have a section specifically for office use and text clarity which is a lifesaver. Also, look into software tools like f.lux to help with the color temp as the sun goes down. Good luck with the hunt, let me know if you need more info on the tech side.
