I've been running into some major performance issues with my current setup since I started working with 4K 60fps footage more often. The playback lag in Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve is becoming a real headache, especially when I add heavy color grading or multiple effects layers.

I'm ready to invest in a serious machine that can handle high-end production without stuttering. I'm torn between going with a high-spec MacBook Pro or looking at a Windows workstation like the Razer Blade or Dell XPS. I definitely need at least 32GB of RAM and a top-tier GPU to speed up my export times.

For those of you doing professional-level editing daily, which laptop has the best cooling and sustained performance for long rendering sessions?

In my experience, you gotta skip thinner chassis like the XPS if you want sustained power. I would suggest comparing the ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 18 G834JYR-XS97 Intel Core i9-14900HX NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 32GB RAM for its massive cooling versus the Apple 16-inch MacBook Pro M3 Max 16-core CPU 40-core GPU 64GB RAM for efficiency. They realy handle heavy 4K timelines way better and wont throttle during long exports.
