What is the absolute best laptop for playing the most intense games and streaming them to Twitch at the same time without it lagging or exploding? I have finally saved up enough money from working all summer and I am so incredibly excited to finally start my gaming channel but honestly I have no idea what I am doing when it comes to the actual hardware part. Sorry if this is a really dumb question but I keep seeing all these numbers and letters like RTX and i9 and 32GB and it just looks like a different language to me... I just want something that wont crash when I have OBS open and the game on high settings. My budget is around $2800 because I want something that will last a few years and I live in Portland so I can pretty much go anywhere to pick it up or just get it off Amazon. I was looking at some Razer ones because they look cool but then my friend said they get too hot and now I am just back to being confused. Do I need a specific screen or something special for the camera part too? I really want to get this ordered by next Friday so I can set everything up. What should I actually be looking for so I dont get ripped off?

Yeah, the previous person is spot on about the cooling issues. Razer laptops look sleek but they prioritize aesthetics over airflow. If you spend your whole $2800 on that, you might regret it when it starts thermal throttling mid-stream. I would suggest looking at something with a thicker chassis to actually handle those i9 chips without melting. Make sure you check these specs specifically so you dont get a low-powered version of a good card:

Building on the earlier suggestion, unfortunately many flagship laptops like the Alienware m18 have disappointed me with their poor software and thermal issues. Its not as good as expected for the price. If you want a reliable choice that actually lasts, the ASUS ROG Strix SCAR 16 (2024) RTX 4080 i9-14900HX is a solid bet. It offers much more stability for streaming without the constant overheating risks.
