I'm planning to build a gaming PC in 2024 with a budget of around $1300. I want to make sure I get the best performance possible for my money. I'm looking for advice on which CPU, GPU, RAM, and other components I should consider to future-proof my build.

What do you think the best options will be in 2024 for a $1300 budget? I mostly play AAA titles and want to game at 1440p with high settings. Any suggestions on parts, brands, or configurations would be greatly appreciated!

Here is some advice for building a $1300 gaming PC in 2024:

CPU: Look for a high-performance CPU like an Intel Core i5 or i7, or an AMD Ryzen 5 or 7. These should provide great gaming performance. Expect to spend around $250-400 on the CPU.

GPU: The graphics card is key for gaming. An NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4060 or 4070 or an AMD Radeon RX 7600 or 7700 would be good choices to target 1080p or 1440p gaming at high frame rates. Budget around $400-600 for the GPU.

RAM: 16GB of DDR5 RAM should be plenty for gaming. Look for speeds of at least 5200 MHz. This will likely cost around $80-120.

Storage: Get a 1TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD for fast load times. Add a 2TB HDD for additional storage if needed. Allocate roughly $100-150 for storage.

Motherboard: A B650 or X670 chipset motherboard for AMD or Z690 or Z790 for Intel will support the latest CPUs and features. Spend about $150-250 on the motherboard.

Case & Cooling: Get a well-built mid-tower ATX case with good airflow and include several 120mm or 140mm fans for cooling. $100-150 is reasonable for this.

Power Supply: A 750W 80+ Gold rated fully-modular PSU from a reputable brand will provide reliable, efficient power. Expect to pay around $100-130.

This comes to a total of roughly $1300, give or take based on exact parts and any sales/discounts available at the time of purchase in 2024. Be sure to check benchmarks and reviews for the latest CPUs and GPUs within your budget before making a final decision.

You can get 7800X3D and RX 7900 GRE for this build.
