Ive used a Roost for years but my new 16 inch workstation is way too heavy and it keeps shaking when I type. Im traveling around Chicago for client meetings this month and really need something that wont kill my neck.
Which portable stand gives the best height adjustment while staying sturdy?
@Reply #2 - good point! Honestly, most expensive brands are total letdowns. I had issues with pricey ones snapping hinges under my 16 inch Dell... waste of money. Before I suggest something, how much does your workstation actually weigh? Some of those 16 inch rigs are absolute tanks. TL;DR: Skip the 80 dollar pro gear. Grab the Nulaxy C4 Portable Aluminum Stand or Lamicall Laptop Stand Portable Foldable. Way cheaper and they wont wobble.
Saw this earlier. Sadly I had issues with expensive stands sagging under my workstation. Total bummer when you spend 80 bucks and it still wobbles. I eventually just looked for cheaper aluminum frames that dont have a million moving parts.
I had a heart attack last year when my old stand nearly buckled during a client meeting... super scary. Honestly im much more satisfied with a heavy-duty aluminum frame now. For a big 16 inch machine, you gotta be really careful about safety.
Seconded!
