Tbh it looks like the consensus here is pretty split between the TP-Link and ASUS flagships everyone mentioned. I’ve been browsing a few other threads lately and I *think* I heard some people complaining about firmware stability on some of these newer WiFi 6E units, but I’m not 100% sure if that’s still an issue or if they patched it. Honestly, I’ve always felt that for MMOs specifically, the 'gaming' tag is mostly marketing fluff lol. Like, IIRC someone told me that as long as you’ve got decent QoS settings to prioritize your game data over like, Netflix streaming in the other room, you’re basically good to go. It’s interesting to see everyone recommending such high-end gear though... makes me wonder if I'm underestimating how much these actually help with those annoying lag spikes during 40-man raids or world bosses. Basically, if the community here is having good luck with those brands then they're probably solid, but I'm always a bit wary of overspending on features you might not even use haha.

honestly, i am in the exact same boat as you right now. i have been researching high-end gear for my setup for months and i still cant decide because the specs are so close but the real-world stability seems all over the place. its super frustrating because my current lag is ruining my dungeon runs and i still dont feel like i have a clear answer on what to actually buy...
