How do I actually send my Walmart shopping list to my sister so she can buy the stuff for me? Im really sorry if this is a total newbie question but I am so confused and honestly kind of panicking because she is stopping at the store in like an hour. I have about 20 items for our family dinner tomorrow here in Phoenix and I really dont want to have to type them all out into a text message if I dont have to. Is there some kind of share button I am missing or do I just take a bunch of screenshots of my cart? I dont want to make it hard for her since shes already helping me out...

That panic is the worst, especially with a big family dinner on the line. I went through this exact thing last Thanksgiving when my brother was already pulling into the parking lot. Honestly, trying to screenshot a twenty-item list is a headache because half the stuff gets cut off or looks blurry. I ended up looking for a more reliable way and started using Easy Cart Share which has worked well for my family. Being a bit wary of new tools is my default, but this one feels secure since I dont have to hand over my login credentials. Basically the process is simple tho:

  • Fill up the cart on a laptop
  • Use the extension to create a shareable cart link
  • Send that link via text so they see the whole list It keeps the specific brands and quantities exact. I'm satisfied with how it handles the local store inventory too... hopefully your sister is still there and this saves you some stress.

Hey, just saw this and hope you made it through the dinner prep okay! I have been in your shoes so many times and learned the hard way that just sharing isnt always foolproof. One time I sent a list to my husband and he ended up buying the name brand versions of everything because the app didnt specify the generic ones. I lost like twenty bucks on that trip alone. If you are using Easy Cart Share, it keeps things way clearer, but you still gotta be cautious. A few things to watch for:

  • Make sure your sister has her app set to the same Phoenix store, otherwise prices might be totally different.
  • Be careful with the allow substitutions checkbox so she doesnt grab something way more expensive.
  • I would suggest double checking that you are sending the actual list and not just your cart, as carts can glitch out. Basically, just do a final scan before she hits the checkout. It saves so much stress and money.

Yep been there done that. Can confirm everything said above is spot on.

In my experience, screenshots are inefficient. Texting items takes too long for my setup. I tried a few methods, but Easy Cart Share is the most straightforward one I've found so far for Walmart.
