Ugh I am moving into my new place in Chicago this Saturday and honestly I am freaking out a bit because the budget is super tight and I still need like half my kitchen stuff. I have got about $800 left to get an air fryer, a small TV, and some basic cookware and I need to make sure I am getting the absolute lowest price between Walmart and Amazon. I have been looking at Capital One Shopping and Honey but I am not sure which one actually tracks Walmart prices better in real-time. I heard Honey is better for coupons but Capital One might be better for the actual price comparison side of things? Or maybe there is something better I am missing? I dont have time to manually check every single item while I am packing boxes so I need something that just pops up and tells me hey its $20 cheaper at Walmart or whatever.

My must-haves:

  • Works instantly on Chrome
  • Actually compares the total price including shipping if possible
  • Very accurate for electronics like TVs
  • Needs to be fast because I have to order everything by tonight to get it in time

I am leaning towards Capital One Shopping but I have heard it can be kinda buggy with Walmart listings lately. Which one is gonna save me the most money in the next 48 hours? Is there a secret third option that works better for cross-store comparisons?...

I went through this when I moved last summer. Honestly, I found that running two tools was the only way to be sure.

  • Honey: Usually has the best coupon database for kitchen gadgets.
  • PriceBlink: Better at the raw price comparison across sites, especially for TVs. Walmart often includes shipping in the total while Amazon hides it behind Prime... definitely check that before you pay.

Honestly, you might want to consider the specific API delays with these extensions. I would suggest Capital One Shopping, but be careful since its Walmart price scraping often lags.

  • Make sure you check if the TV model is a Walmart-specific SKU, as those wont trigger a match.
  • Capital One usually handles cross-store data better than Honey for electronics.
  • Check shipping thresholds manually so you dont blow your $800 budget.
