I'm trying to figure out how to send my Walmart cart to my sister so she can pay for it because she's getting our stuff for the week and I have like 40 items in there. I've been looking for a share button for like twenty minutes and I'm honestly starting to freak out because she's literally walking into the store in ten minutes and I don't want to have to type every single thing out in a text message. I tried just copying the web address at the top of the screen but when I sent it to her it just showed her own empty cart and not mine which is super frustrating. Is there like a specific link I have to click? I'm totally new to using the app and the website is confusing me too.

Here is what I need to do:

  • send the whole list of items at once
  • make sure the prices stay the same because we have a $150 budget
  • do it fast before she starts shopping
  • avoid her having to search for every item manually

Sorry if this is a really basic thing that everyone knows how to do but I am just completely lost right now and I really need to get this sent over to her ASAP...

Saw this today, hope you figured it out for your sister but for next time... honestly Walmart makes this way harder than it needs to be. I've spent years messing with different workarounds because their native site just wont let you share a live session. In my experience, the only real way to do this without losing the prices or items is using a third-party browser extension. Over the years, I've tried many different methods but these types of tools are the only thing that actually works for 40+ items.

  • Just get a cart sharing extension
  • Look for something like Share-A-Cart or any similar tool
  • It generates a unique code for your specific items It basically grabs the technical data from your browser and lets the other person 'receive' it. I used to try the screenshot method but it's a nightmare when you're on a strict budget. Just use an extension next time and you'll be fine.

I totally get the panic because I was in this exact situation last month when my roommate was already at the checkout line and I realized I hadnt sent my list yet! It was a complete disaster trying to screenshot everything and the prices kept changing. Honestly, the official site doesnt actually let you share a direct link because the cart is tied to your specific account login. Its super annoying but I found a fantastic solution that works every single time and keeps everything organized! Basically, I started using this amazing tool called Share-A-Cart and it has been a total game changer for my weekly shopping routine. You just click one button and it creates a unique code that anyone can use to pull up your exact items. I love it because it keeps the prices and quantities exactly how you set them, so you wont go over your $150 budget! It literally takes five seconds to generate the link and send it over to her phone. When I first tried this procedure, I was worried it would be complicated, but the way it handles the data is so professional and straightforward. Now, whenever someone else is doing the heavy lifting at the store, I just send them the link and they can see my whole list instantly! No more typing out forty items or worrying about them picking the wrong brand. Its honestly the best way to handle this efficiently without losing your mind... just grab the extension and you can send that list over before she even gets her shopping cart!

To add to the point above, using the Lists feature is probably the best way to handle this without losing track of your budget. Its a solid workaround since Walmart doesnt have a direct share button.

  • Move items to a new public list
  • Hit the share icon to get a link
  • Text that link to her She can see the exact prices and items without searching manually. Much easier than texting 40 individual things and hoping for the best.
