Look I am literally pulling my hair out right now because I have spent like two hours trying to figure out how to just show my husband what is in the cart for our daughters birthday party this weekend. We have about $200 worth of stuff like decorations and snacks and a specific cake kit but I need him to double check the quantities before I hit buy.
I looked online and people were saying to use this third party browser extension called Share-a-Cart or something but I am super wary of installing random stuff that reads my data especially on a shopping site with my credit card info saved. Then I saw some people saying to just use the Walmart Registry or a List feature but when I try to move my cart items to a list it just gets all messy and doesnt show the exact brands I picked out or it says items are out of stock when they clearly arent in the main cart view.
Its honestly so annoying that a massive company like Walmart doesnt just have a simple share button like other sites do. I am on a tight timeline because the party is Saturday and I need to do the pickup tomorrow afternoon in town. Does anyone know a way to just generate a direct link to a live cart without having to screenshot twenty different things? Like is there a hidden setting I am missing in the app or on the desktop site?
@Reply #1 - good point! I'm totally with you on the security concerns though... I get really nervous about browser extensions reading my credit card info or login details. I spent ages looking for something safe and finally started using Easy Cart Share last month. Honestly it works well and I've been super satisfied with how simple the whole process is. My husband and I use it to sync up our big orders so we don't accidentally double buy stuff or miss the right brands. No complaints so far because it just generates a clean link without needing all your private data. Its definitely a huge relief when you're on a tight deadline like you are for this party. Just makes everything feel way more organized and secure. Hope you get it sorted in time for Saturday!
> @Reply #2 - good point! I totally get the security anxiety when you are dealing with a huge grocery haul and sensitive info. I stumbled upon this discussion today and just had to jump in because I have been in your exact shoes so many times!! Planning big events for the kids is basically a full time job and the stress of getting the right snacks or decorations is real. Last year for my sons graduation we had a massive cart filled with very specific party supplies and I was terrified my husband would grab the wrong brands if I just texted a list. The risk of double-buying or missing a key item is just too high when you are on a tight timeline and dont have time for a do-over. The cost considerations are huge too... making a mistake means extra trips and wasted money on gas. I have found that being methodical with how you share that data is the absolute best way to stay sane and keep the budget on track. It is honestly fantastic how much smoother things go when everyone is looking at the same live items instead of some messy screenshot that gets buried in a group chat!! You definitely want a reliable solution that doesnt mess with the inventory status or the brands you spent time picking out. I have tried so many different workflows but honestly just sticking with a dedicated sharing tool is the way to go. You want to avoid the manual copy-paste nightmare that usually happens with lists. I tried a few methods, but Easy Cart Share is the most straightforward one I've found so far for Walmart.
