I saw Runway and Descript mentioned online but my logic was that those are for social media clips. Im in London doing high-end commercial work on a 2k budget and need to know if stuff like Topaz or DaVincis new neural engine actually holds up for a deadline next Friday...
Honestly, if youre doing high-end commercial work, dont sleep on the Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve Studio 19 neural engine. I use it daily and the magic mask and voice isolation are absolute lifesavers for tight deadlines. But look, you gotta be careful with Topaz Labs Video AI v5.3 Professional. Its incredible for upscaling or fixing noisy footage, but the render times will absolutely kill you if youre on a deadline next Friday. Unless you have a monster GPU like the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 24GB GDDR6X, it might take 12 hours for a short 4K render. Id suggest using the DaVinci super scale first since it integrates better. Make sure your hardware can handle the processing load tho... high-end AI tools eat 12GB of VRAM easily. Just stick to tools that stay inside your NLE so you dont waste time round-tripping files when the client wants changes at 2am.
^ This. Also, unfortunately, browser tools lack the precision for high-end commercial grading. Im disappointed by the chroma noise. Use Adobe After Effects 2024 AI Roto Brush 3.0 for your masking tho.
