Ive been running social for a boutique agency in Chicago for like six years now so Im pretty dialed into the usual workflow but honestly the demand for short form video and daily posts for this local bakery chain is killing my productivity lately. I used to rely on just Canva and some basic automation but its not enough anymore to keep up with the current reach drops. Ive messed around with ChatGPT for captions but the output feels super generic and the brand voice is totally off. Ive got about $200 a month to play with for new tech and I need to get a three month campaign mapped out by next Friday. What are the actual top tier AI tools you guys are using right now for generating the actual visuals and specific hooks that dont sound like a robot wrote them?

Been thinking about your timeline and honestly, I've had issues with some of those high-end tools mentioned earlier. Like someone mentioned, Jasper and CopyAI are the big names, but unfortunately, I found the learning curve for setting up brand voices in them way too steep when you're on a Friday deadline. I was also pretty disappointed with the output from most auto-video generators because they always pick the weirdest stock footage that doesnt fit a local bakery vibe. Basically, the thread so far is suggesting you go all-in on specialized AI, but for a $200 budget and a three-month plan due in days, you might want to stick to tools that integrate better with what you already know. Here is what I am using right now to keep things fast and cheap:

  • Canva Magic Studio Annual Subscription
  • Seriously, just use their new 'Brand Voice' feature within Magic Write. It is much easier to manage than a separate AI sub if you are already using their templates.
  • CapCut Desktop Pro Yearly Plan
  • This is the absolute goat for short-form video. The 'Script to Video' feature actually looks like a human edited it, and the auto-captions are way better than the generic ones in other tools.
  • Leonardo.ai Artisan Plan
  • If Midjourney feels too techy, use this for your food visuals. It has a great UI and the 'Image Guidance' feature lets you upload a photo of the actual bakery so the AI knows the layout. Quick tip: Stop asking the AI to 'write a post.' Instead, give it a list of your bakery's ingredients and ask for 'five sensory hooks about the smell of cinnamon rolls.' It makes the output way less robotic. If you get stuck on the prompts, let me know, I can share my bakery-specific ones.

TLDR: Grab Jasper AI Pro Plan for the copy, Midjourney v6 for the food shots, and InVideo AI Plus to handle the heavy lifting on those reels. Honestly, if ChatGPT is sounding like a robot, its because its missing specific brand context. I shifted my workflow to Jasper AI Pro Plan recently because you can actually upload your brand guidelines and previous successful bakery posts to it. It costs about 59 a month but the hooks actually sound like a human wrote them once you train the memory. Its a huge step up from generic outputs because it actually remembers that bakery voice youve worked so hard on. For visuals, Midjourney v6 is basically the gold standard for realistic food photography if you cant get on-site for a shoot every single day. It takes a minute to learn the prompts but for 30 bucks a month, the quality is just miles ahead of the generic Canva AI stuff. It generates textures on bread that look genuinely appetizing. Since short form video is the main pain point, look into InVideo AI Plus. You can basically give it a prompt like 30 second reel about sourdough prep and it pulls clips and adds captions automatically. It isnt 100 percent perfect and you will still need to tweak it, but it saves hours on the rough cut which is usually the part that kills productivity. This setup keeps you well under that 200 budget and should make that three month campaign map way easier to build out by next Friday. Holler if you need help with the prompt structure.
