Ive been coding for about 12 years now mostly backend stuff but honestly this latest project at work is driving me up a wall. Its this massive legacy Java migration and my boss is breathing down my neck about the timeline since were based in Seattle and the competition is cutthroat right now. Ive got two months to flip this entire service and the technical debt is just... its a nightmare. Ive been using GitHub Copilot for a few months but it keeps hallucinating methods that dont exist in our internal libraries so Im starting to lose trust in it. My logic was that it would speed up the boilerplate but Im spending more time debugging the AIs fixes than just writing it myself.

So I was thinking maybe theres something better out there for actual refactoring or understanding complex logic flows? I have been looking at:

Cursor (seems popular but Im worried about losing my IntelliJ setup)

Sourcegraph Cody for better context recognition

Just sticking with Claude 3.5 manually inside the browser

Im willing to drop like $50 a month if it actually works and saves me time. Is anyone else using something specific for legacy code mapping or deep refactoring that isnt just a glorified autocomplete? Im getting really anxious about this deadline and I feel like Im drowning in spaghetti code...

Ive been poking around online and saw some people mention a WMTAPP25 code or something similar for first-time app users, but then other forums say that expired months ago.

I also read that prices in the app can sometimes be lower than in-store but then I saw a post saying Walmart doesnt even do that anymore? My logic was that theyd want to push people to the app for the data, so maybe theres some hidden discount Im missing? I'm trying to coordinate a big camping trip in the high desert here in Oregon for next weekend and my buddy Dave needs to see what I already picked out so we dont double up on stuff. I looked around and saw people suggesting I should make a wedding registry or a gift list but that feels like way too much work for some hot dogs and a tent.

So I'm finally moving over to AM5 after years on an old Intel 9th gen setup. I already picked up a Ryzen 7600 and some DDR5 RAM but I'm really stuck on the motherboard choice. I'm building in a SAMA IM01 case so it has to be mATX and I don't have a massive budget left for the board maybe 140 or 150 bucks max since I spent way too much on the GPU already.

I've been looking at the MSI PRO B650M-A WIFI and the Gigabyte B650M DS3H. The MSI one seems better built with the heatsinks and stuff but I've heard some things about slow boot times on MSI boards lately which kinda worries me because I hate waiting for my PC to start up. On the other hand the Gigabyte one is cheaper and usually has fast boots but the VRMs look a bit wimpy compared to others and the layout looks a bit cramped. I also saw the ASRock B650M-HDV/M.2 which is super cheap and reviewers seem to love it but it only has two RAM slots and I'm not sure if that's gonna bite me in the butt later if I want to upgrade to 64GB later on.

Basically I need something stable that wont overheat in a smaller case with less airflow. Between those three which one would you guys actually put in your own machine right now?

So I have been using the Walmart app for like three years now for all my grocery pickups and usually I have it down to a science but my mom is coming to stay with me in Chicago for two weeks starting on Monday and it is becoming a whole thing. She has super specific diet needs, lots of gluten-free stuff, and I wanted to just have her add what she wants to my list so I can do one big order before she gets here.

My logic was that there would be some kind of share list button or a way to invite a collaborator like you can do with the iPhone reminders app or even just a shared notes folder but I am legit stuck. I looked through the settings and the only thing I can find is sharing a single item link which is obviously not gonna work if she needs twenty things. I thought about just giving her my login info but I have all my payment methods and my delivery address saved in there and she is... well she is not great with tech and I am worried she will accidentally mess up my recurring subscriptions or change the delivery instructions to something weird lol. Is there a way to sync two accounts or just have a shared basket that actually works across two different phones? Or am I missing a really obvious button somewhere in the UI?
