finally getting around to ditching my ancient 24 inch acer and i am so ready for oled colors like i cant even describe it. i spend basically all my free time in single player rpgs like cyberpunk 2077, witcher 3, and i am dying to play baldurs gate 3 with actual deep blacks instead of this grey mushy mess i have now. been saving up for months and i finally have about 1000 to 1100 dollars to blow on a proper screen. i live in a small apartment in chicago so i dont have room for a massive desk setup but i want the most immersive experience possible for my me time after work.

ive done a bit of digging and the alienware aw3423dwf seems like the gold standard for ultrawides but i keep reading these conflicting things about the qd-oled coating making blacks look purple if there is any light in the room? my desk is right next to a window so that kind of scares me off. then i looked at the lg gear like the 27gr95qe but some people say its way too dim compared to the newer panels. its honestly so overwhelming trying to figure out which generation of panel is actually worth the money right now and if the glossy vs matte debate actually matters as much as people say it does.

here is what i am looking for specifically:

size: 27 to 34 inches is the sweet spot for my desk space

budget: maxing out at 1100 including tax if i can find a deal

use case: 90 percent immersive rpgs, 10 percent basic office work and emails

blacks: need to be perfect, thats the whole reason im buying this

longevity: i dont want to worry about burn in every 5 seconds since i tend to play for 6 hour sessions on weekends

mostly i just want to know what actually feels the most cinematic when you are crawling through a dark dungeon or walking around night city. is ultrawide actually better for immersion or should i stick to a standard 16:9 4k screen for the crispiness? i am leaning towards the ultrawide but the text fringe thing i mentioned earlier really makes me nervous since i do have to type occasionally... what do you guys think?

So I'm trying to get my life together and stop forgetting half the stuff I need to buy when I'm out. I use Firefox at home on my personal rig but at the office I'm stuck using Chrome on a Windows machine and it's a nightmare trying to keep my shopping lists synced up without just emailing myself links like a caveman. I need an extension that works on both browsers seamlessly.

I've been looking at these three mostly:

Bring! (the UI looks cool but I've heard the syncing can be laggy)

AnyList (seems super popular but I'm worried the best features are trapped in the premium version)

Google Keep (already use it but the browser extension is kinda clunky for actual lists)

Basically it has to be totally free because my budget is non-existent right now (saving for a big move in July) and it needs to be fast. I really just want something where I can add a pack of batteries on my work Chrome and have it show up on my Firefox at home instantly. Bring! seems like the winner for the visuals but is there something better I'm missing that works cross-platform like that? Just want something simple that doesnt require a 20 step setup...

I missed it twice today while I was stuck at work and I really need to get it by Friday for my moms birthday.

Ive been looking at using BrickSeek since everyone talks about it but that paid tier is kinda pricey for just one item honestly. Then I saw someone mention Keepa might work for Walmart now but I thought that was just an Amazon thing? Or maybe something like Inventory Checker? I need something reliable that wont break the bank because my budgets pretty tight right now. Stuck between BrickSeek and Keepa and just dont know which is actually faster for local store stock...
