Honestly im so fed up with my current setup. I bought this cheap Samsung monitor like a year ago thinking 4K is 4K right? WRONG. It doesnt even have HDMI 2.1 so Im stuck playing at 60Hz and the ghosting is actually making me feel motion sick while playing Spiderman. Ive spent the last three hours going down a rabbit hole of reddit threads and youtube reviews and my head is spinning with all these model numbers like the M28U or the LG 27GP95R or whatever. My logic was just buy the most expensive one but then I see people complaining about backlight bleed and now I dont know what to believe.

I need something that actually works with the PS5 features like VRR and HDR because right now everything looks washed out and choppy. Ive got a budget of about $700, maybe I can push to $800 if its actually worth it but I need to order it like... yesterday. I have a long weekend coming up here in Chicago and I just want to sit and play without staring at screen tearing the whole time.

So I was thinking maybe the Sony Inzone M9 because its literally made by Sony? But then I see people saying the local dimming is trash and its overpriced for what you get. Then I looked at the Gigabyte M32U because I want a bigger screen but is 32 inches too big for a desk? Im sitting like two feet away. I just want something that has:

HDMI 2.1 (obviously)

120Hz support that actually works without flickering

Decent HDR so it doesnt look like a gray mess

Fast response time for shooters

Is there any monitor that actually hits all these marks without being a total gamble? Im honestly ready to just throw this current one out the window because the input lag is killing me in Warzone. Every time I think I found the one, I read a review saying the firmware is broken or the colors are off. Just tell me what actually works...

My extended family is doing this massive secret santa thing this year and honestly im panicking because last year my aunt and my sister both bought the same exact air fryer for my mom and it was super awkward at dinner. We have like 15 people to keep track of across three different states and I really need a way to stop the double-buying before I lose my mind lol. I have about $300 total to spend on everyone so I cant afford to mess up and buy something someone already has. I have been looking at Giftster because it seems pretty straightforward but then my cousin suggested Elfster since it has the whole secret santa draw feature built in which would save me a ton of time but I dont know if the interface is too cluttered for my dad who is 74 and barely knows how to use his iphone. I also thought about just doing a shared google doc but that feels like people might accidentally see what they are getting and ruin the surprise? Does anyone have experience with these or maybe something better? I need to get this set up by next week or im gonna be way behind on shipping stuff out to Ohio. Elfster seems more fun but Giftster looks cleaner so i am totally torn... what do you guys think works best for older relatives who arent tech savvy?

Okay so I am literally stressing out because I need to get this 55 inch TV for my new place in Columbus before I move in on the 1st and my budget is super tight like I really cant go over 800 bucks including tax. I know prices at Walmart fluctuate like crazy and I keep checking the page every hour but its driving me insane and I feel like I'm gonna miss the deal while I'm at work.

I was looking into a few ways to automate this and I'm torn between using Honey or just trying to rely on BrickSeek. My logic was that Honey is easy since I already have the extension but then I read somewhere that their Walmart tracking isnt always real-time and might lag by a few hours which would be a disaster if it sells out. Then there is BrickSeek which everyone says is the gold standard for Walmart inventory but the interface is so confusing and I'm not sure if the free version even sends push notifications? Or maybe there is some feature in the actual Walmart app I'm missing? I tried looking but it just seems to show me ads.

I really need something that will ping my phone immediately the second that price hits my target or I'm gonna end up paying full price and then I wont be able to afford a couch... what do you guys actually use that works for them? I'm leaning toward BrickSeek but the learning curve is making me nervous.

What are the actual best protective cases for any iPad size today if you really need them to survive a beating? I am honestly overwhelmed by the options right now. Im currently shopping for four different iPads for my nieces and nephews since we are going on a big family road trip to Yellowstone in about three weeks and I know for a fact someone is gonna drop one of these things on a trailhead or in a parking lot. Im looking at a mix of sizes - an iPad Mini 6, two of the new 10.9 Airs, and then my old 11-inch Pro that I'm handing down to the oldest kid.

Ive been doing some digging online and I keep seeing the Otterbox Defender pop up as the gold standard for protection but then I read these recent reviews saying the built-in plastic screen protector is total garbage and makes the screen look grainy or less responsive to touch. Then I look at something like the Spigen Tough Armor which seems way sleeker and much cheaper but then other people are saying it doesnt have enough of a raised lip to actually protect the glass if it hits a rock face down. My budget is around 50 to 70 bucks per case which feels like a lot but I really dont want to be dealing with AppleCare or trying to find a repair shop while we are in the middle of Wyoming.

Needs to have a built in stand for watching movies in the car

Must be grippy enough for small hands so it doesnt just slide out

Needs to not be a total nightmare to take on and off for cleaning

I also looked at those Zugu cases because everyone on Reddit seems to rave about the magnets and the different angles but are they actually drop-proof for real life accidents or just fancy stands for office workers? I cant tell if the hype is real or just really good marketing. Are there any rugged brands I'm totally missing that can handle a four-foot drop onto concrete without being as thick as a literal brick? Just trying to find one brand that makes cases for all these sizes so I can just place one order and stop thinking about it...

So my aunt is having this big family cookout next Saturday in Dayton and shes not great with apps or computers really. I told her Id pay for the groceries as a gift since the budget is around $150 so shes been trying to tell me what she needs but its such a mess over the phone. I thought it would be super easy to just have her fill a cart on her end and then send it to me so I can just checkout with my card and set the delivery to her house. I did some digging and saw some people mention a share button but when I tried it on my own phone it looks like it only lets you send a link to a single item like a bag of chips or whatever not the whole list. I also saw some random chrome extensions that claim they can do it but honestly that feels kinda sketchy to me like I dont want her downloading stuff that might scrape her data or something. Is there a built-in way to just export the whole cart or email a link to the entire basket? It seems like such a basic feature for a store as big as Walmart but I am totally stuck right now...

Its all so confusing with the different colors like gold and bronze and I am worried if I pick a cheap one it will like explode or something lol. I was told I need a 650W one for the graphics card I got which is a 3060. I dont have a ton of money left after buying the other parts so I am looking for something that wont break the bank but also wont kill my whole system.

Here is what I am looking for:

price needs to be under $75 if possible

needs to not be super loud because its going in my bedroom

has to be reliable enough to last a couple years

easy to plug in because I am scared of messing up the wires

I am shopping mostly on Amazon or maybe Best Buy since there is one near my house in Ohio. Is there a specific brand that is safe for beginners? I see some for $40 but that feels too cheap right? Sorry if this is a really basic thing to ask I just dont want to set my house on fire or ruin my new parts...

Which Intel processor is actually the best one if I need to run a million things at once for my work? Sorry if this is a super basic question but I am totally lost with all the different names and numbers they use for these things. I just got a new job as a data coordinator here in Chicago and they gave me about $1,300 to get a proper desktop setup but I have to choose the specs myself and I have no idea where to start.

My current computer is so slow it makes me want to scream. On a normal day I usually have about 40 or 50 tabs open in Chrome because I'm researching stuff, plus I have these massive Excel spreadsheets that are like hundreds of rows long, and then I'm also on Zoom calls while trying to type notes in Word. My laptop right now just lags and the fan starts sounding like a jet engine whenever I try to switch between windows. It is so frustrating when I'm trying to be productive and the screen just freezes for five seconds every time I click something.

I saw some stuff online about i5 and i7 and i9 but I dont know what the difference is really. Is the i9 way too much for just office work? I'm not doing any video editing or gaming or anything cool like that, I just need it to be fast for my spreadsheets and multitasking. Someone told me to look at the 14th generation because it's the newest but then I saw some people saying the 13th is basically the same thing? I just dont want to spend all this money and then realize I bought something that is way more than I need or even worse, something that still lags when I have too many things open.

Does the number of cores really matter that much for just opening a lot of programs? Or is it more about the speed? I keep hearing people talk about RAM too but I figured the processor was the main brain of the thing so I should probably start there right? I'm trying to get this ordered by next Friday so I can actually start my training without my computer dying on me. Any advice on which specific model I should look for would be a lifesaver because I'm totally drowning in all these tech specs...
