Ive been the designated tech person for my family in Chicago for years and weve used Elfster and Giftster forever, but lately the mobile UI has just been glitching out so bad for my parents when they try to claim stuff.

I need something where all 12 of us can sync up and claim items without the recipient seeing, but ideally with a better browser extension for pulling links from random stores. We usually try to have lists locked in by mid-November so I need to migrate everyone soon. Just looking for a cleaner alternative that actually works without a million popups...

Ive been an Intel guy for as long as I can remember mostly because I relied on Quicksync for smooth scrubbing in Premiere but man my current rig is just not cutting it anymore. Im sitting here with an old 9900k and it feels like Im trying to edit through mud ever since I started getting more 6K BRAW and Red footage from clients. Im based in Chicago and Ive got a massive documentary project that I need to finish by late November so Im finally ready to make the jump to team red because everyone keeps telling me the multi-core performance is just leagues ahead for rendering.

My budget for the chip itself is somewhere in the $800 to $1200 range but Im torn because I cant decide if I should just grab a 7950X or the newer 9950X or if I really need to bite the bullet and go for a Threadripper 7000 series. I do a lot of heavy color grading in Resolve and use Neat Video for noise reduction which is a total resource hog and Ive heard some weird stories about AMD processors having latency issues with certain plugins compared to Intels architecture. Im also worried about the motherboard costs if I go Threadripper because those TRX50 boards are freaking expensive and Im not sure if the extra PCIe lanes are even worth it for my specific workflow since Im only running two GPUs right now.

Ive always been told that more cores equals faster renders but Ive also seen some benchmarks where the high-end consumer chips actually beat the workstation stuff in single-core tasks which still matters for the actual editing part of the job. Its kinda frustrating because every review says something different and I dont want to spend three grand on a platform just to find out a $600 chip would have been snappier for daily timeline work. Which AMD processor is actually the best balance for professional video editing and rendering right now?

So my wife and I are trying to save some cash because we just moved into a new apartment in Austin and money is super tight right now. I really need to get one of those Ninja Creami machines because she's obsessed with them but they're like 200 bucks right now and I know they go on sale. I heard someone at work talking about using a chrome extension specifically for walmart rollbacks to track prices so you get an email when it drops but honestly i have no idea how any of this works. I downloaded something that looks like a little blue price tag in my browser but I'm just staring at it and nothing is happening lol. I'm usually not this bad with tech but this is just confusing me. Like do I have to keep the tab open all day for it to work or does it just scan in the background? My budget is really like $150 max and I'm hoping to get it before her birthday next month.

Sorry if this is a total noob question but how do I actually tell the extension which item to watch? I clicked a bunch of buttons but I don't see anywhere to put my email or a notify me thing. Do I need to be logged into my walmart account for the extension to talk to the website or what? I really want to catch a rollback before they sell out...

How do you guys actually track Walmart price history accurately for real sales these days because I feel like I'm losing my mind with these fake rollbacks? I've been a power user of stuff like CamelCamelCamel for Amazon for years so I'm not a total newbie but Walmart is a whole different beast and my usual tools are failing me.

I'm trying to grab a specific 75-inch Sony TV for our living room renovation here in Dallas and the price just jumped from $1,100 to $1,400 but it's labeled as a huge saving from $1,600 which I know for a fact is a lie. Ive tried using Honey and even checked BrickSeek but the local stock info is so hit or miss lately it’s driving me crazy. My budget is strictly capped at $1,200 and I need to get this thing ordered by Tuesday so it arrives before my in-laws get here for the weekend.

Is there some hidden extension or a site that actually tracks the SKU history specifically for Walmart.com or are we just stuck guessing if a clearance tag is actually a deal or just marketing fluff? I swear I saw it cheaper last month but I didn't take a screenshot like an idiot...
