My sons fifth birthday is literally in ten days and I am freaking out because I havent organized anything yet. I spent way too much time looking at venues here in Chicago and now my mother in law is blowing up my phone every hour asking what he wants and honestly I just want to send a link and be done with it.

I did some digging online and saw people mentioning Giftster and maybe Elfster? But Giftster looks so old and clunky like something from 2005 and I read some weird reviews about Elfster being more for secret santas and not really for kids birthdays. Then I tried WishUpon but it kept crashing when I tried to pull stuff from different websites and I really need something that just works the first time because I dont have time to troubleshoot an app right now.

Here is what I actually need:

Must be free because the party budget is already blown

Has to be super easy for grandparents who barely know how to use an iPhone

Needs a feature where people can mark something as bought so we dont get five of the same dinosaur toy

Ability to add items from any store not just one specific place

I really need to get this sent out by tomorrow morning or my relatives are just gonna start buying random junk we dont have room for in this apartment... anyone have a favorite that actually works?

Honestly I am just so over Amazon trying to lock me into their ecosystem and making it impossible to see the bigger picture. I'm currently trying to organize my wedding registry and general gift list since we are getting married this coming June and it has become an absolute disaster of a project. I've got items I love from West Elm, a few boutique shops here in Chicago that dont even have proper registry setups, and then obviously some basics on Amazon because lets be real its just cheaper for the boring stuff. But keeping track of it all? A total nightmare. I have about fifty tabs open on my laptop right now and I keep accidentally closing the ones I need or forgetting which site had the better price on that one specific blender.

I tried that Amazon Assistant extension thingy that's supposed to let you add stuff from other sites but it's honestly trash. It glitches out half the time or it wont pull the image or it says the site isn't supported. It's so frustrating because I just want one single link I can send to my family so they dont have to hunt through four different websites. My fiance is already losing his mind because I keep texting him random links at 11pm and he's like didnt we already pick a toaster and I can't even remember if I added it to a list or just bookmarked it.

Is there actually a reliable way to combine wishlists from Amazon and other retailers into one place that doesn't look like a website from 1998? I looked at a couple of those universal registry sites but some of them want a monthly fee which is just insane given how much we are already spending on the venue and catering. I just need a simple, clean way to pull my existing Amazon lists into one master view along with stuff from Target or wherever else. Has anyone actually found a workaround for this or am I stuck manually copying and pasting URLs into a spreadsheet like a caveman...

I have like thirty dollars left in my budget for this month after buying my books for school and I really need to start taking notes by next Monday or I am going to fall behind so fast. I went to the store but the guy there was talking about pressure sensitivity and tilt and generation 1 vs 2 and I literally felt my brain melting because I dont know what any of that means. I just want to write on the screen without it lagging or skipping. I saw some on amazon that are cheap but then the reviews say they dont work with all models and now im scared to buy the wrong thing and waste my money. Do I need a special bluetooth thing or do they all just work? I live in a pretty small town so I have to order online and cant really go try them out anywhere. Is there like one specific brand that definitely works on every single iPad model without being super expensive? I dont want to break my screen or anything either... which one should I actually buy?

I am literally about to pull my hair out over these stupid baby registries. I have no idea what I am doing and I feel like I'm already failing at this whole mom thing and the baby isnt even here yet. I spent like four hours the other night picking out diapers and strollers and cute little onesies on Target because we have a Target right down the road here in Dayton and I figured people would want to go in person. But then my sister told me everyone is just gonna buy stuff online so I made an Amazon one too. Now I have two separate lists and people are texting me asking which one they should use and my mother in law already bought the same exact bottle set from both places because she got confused. Its a total disaster and I feel so dumb for even trying to do both.

The shower is on August 15th and I really need to get the invites out like yesterday. I keep looking for a button that says merge or combine or something on the Amazon app but I cant find anything. Is there like a secret way to put the Target stuff on the Amazon list? Or maybe vice versa? I dont want to have to delete everything and start over because it took me forever to find the stuff that fits our budget. We are trying to keep everything under $500 total if we can because money is super tight right now with the move.

Target list has the car seat and the crib

Amazon has all the small stuff like pacifiers and wipes

I need them in one place so people dont buy doubles

I honestly have no idea where to even start with this. Do I need a third website? Does that cost money? I'm so sorry if this is like the most basic thing ever but I am just so lost and frustrated with technology right now. Every time I try to fix it I just end up making more of a mess of the settings. How do I actually get these two lists to show up as one single link for my family?

So I am finally pulling the trigger on this massive family blowout for my 40th birthday in Seattle this August and I am honestly so pumped. It has been like five years since we were all in one place and I really want to make it special. Since I have been the designated tech support person for my parents and siblings forever

I literally set up their home networks and manage their cloud backups - they are all looking at me to organize the gift registry or wishlist situation for the big party so there are no duplicates.

Normally I would just throw together an Amazon list and call it a day but I have run into this super annoying issue where the Amazon universal wishlist button doesnt really scrape metadata from other boutique sites properly anymore. Plus the privacy settings are super clunky if you want a list that is strictly invite-only but also allows people to see what has been bought without spoiling the surprise for me. I have been doing this for years for Christmas but this specific use case is kicking my butt for some reason.

I am looking for something with a really clean UI that is mobile-responsive because my aunt is basically tech-illiterate and will lose it if the interface is too cluttered or full of ads. I need to be able to add stuff from niche hobby sites

I have got my eye on some specific espresso gear that is around $500 for a group gift and some smaller camping stuff under $40 - and I want to be able to just send a private link or use a password for a specific group of people. I tried Elfster but it feels way too geared toward Secret Santa stuff with the whole drawing names thing which we dont want. Does anyone know of a solid aggregator that lets you keep everything private but actually works with a browser extension for easy adding from any site? I am mostly worried about privacy and making sure the data isnt just being sold to every advertiser the second we sign up...

I've been looking for a stylus for this used iPad Air I just picked up for $150 to use for my psych notes. I did some digging and saw the Logitech Crayon mentioned a lot but it's still kinda pricey at like $70 which is half what I paid for the tablet lol. Then I found these cheap ones on Amazon like the Jamjake for $20 but I'm stuck. My logic was that for just writing notes I dont need the pressure stuff but people say the connection on cheap ones is spotty. I really want to stay under $40. So I was thinking maybe there is a middle ground I missed? Or are those cheap ones actually okay for heavy note taking...
